Sure, just don't tell them its food and hope they don't x-ray it.
No
Yes! And you should; they're delicious!
Great coffee. Amazing banana bread and unforgettable experience!
You can buy their mix dry, but the recipe is not available. It's a secret recipe, and a good one, at that!
Banana style. Moist, filled of banana flavor which I don't like because I don't like bananas but my wife does. They also have coconut chew which I like and it is glorious. BEST banana bread in Town.
Off the beaten path but worth the trip. Best banana bread on Maui!
Okay so I absolutely love this cute little banana bread stand. We stopped on the way to Hana and it was one of my favorite parts of the drive. Their banana bread is unbelievable and they also serve other food/lunch items if you’re hungry. The smoothies were so fresh. Quick service with picnic tables out front to sit and eat. Will definitely be back!
The tastiest banana bread I have ever had. My husband and I ate an entire loaf and bought six more to bring home to the mainland.
Please do listen to people when they tell you to get the banana bread here.. it was freshly made for us and only $6.25 a loaf plus make sure you show some Aloha! It’s so moist and beyond delicious full of flavor. I listened to the hype and you won’t be disappointed! I mean come on Anthony bourdain came back to Maui to get it so you know it’s good! Love local places on the island and we even took some loaves home and 4 days later it was just as delicious!!
Tried both Sandy's and Julia's banana bread - we liked Sandy's better - it had a much stronger banana taste and was so buttery and soft. Also the bread was made fresh and piping hot when we got it. Sandy's banana bread loaves are a little smaller than Julia's and sold for $6 each. Julia's is $9 and comes in a foil tin. Sandy's does an amazing kahlua pork sandwich as well.
Really great banana bread, even in a place where banana bread is sold everywhere. Nice vibe, nice people, tropical surroundings. A great road to hana stop.
Incredibly good banana bread located in Keanae. Best to eat it right away...warm from the oven. Order one extra - to take it back with you if it lasts that long. Grab a cup of coffee, walk down the road and enjoy beautiful views of the coastline. On the road to Hana.
Yummy. What else can you say? Great snack along the route you can't miss
Best banana bread and bomb smoothies and kona mud pie ice cream. This is the food stop you deserve.
Absolutely some of the best banana bread I’ve ever had. Got there early enough for the loafs to still be warm! We’ve tried other banana bread around the island because we could get enough while we were there and nothing else compared! This will definitely be a stop every time we go back to Maui!
Amazing banana bread! Best one on road to Hana. It’s warm when you by it and the flavors are fresh and delicious. Definitely a nice snack for the drive. Staff was nice and very quick in their service. It’s cash only so make sure to have cash on hand.
Doesn’t get any more fresh than this. Just out of the oven banana bread is super yummy. Other than banana bread they also sell sandwiches, ice cream, and drinks. They take cash or credit cards ($10 minimum). There are no public restrooms here but there are restrooms about a 3 minute walk further down the road. After picking up some banana bread walk over and check out the shore line for some great views.
I say this as someone who doesn't like banana bread: GET THIS BANANA BREAD. Before this, the only banana bread that I liked was one a friend made with a mixture of nuts in it. In general, I find the overwhelmingly banana-y flavor (go figure) to be too much, but this cake really hits the spot. The best part: it's served warm. :)If they had versions with nuts, this would have been a six star review! Definitely worth the short detour.
Worth the drive to pick up banana bread! I wish we got a couple more loaves. We tried banana bread from other well-known stands, a farmer’s market, and a cafe, and Aunt Sandy’s is hands down our favourite. It’s perfectly moist, sweet, and gooey. Highly recommend!
I was skepitcal that the bread would be as amazing as the smell, but I was wrong. Even if there is a line, you should order some bread. They serve it fresh from the oven. Eat it hot! They also have amazing shaved ice the ice was so soft. It reminded me of being a kid. Maybe even buy a second loaf for later in the day! 😉
If you're on the road to Hana, this is a great place to stop and just sit with some snacks and drinks. Best banana bread I've had
We stopped here on the Road to Hana tour. Amazing, fresh banana bread! A must see!
There's a lot of good banana bread all over Maui. This is the best of the lot. Warm out of the oven, soft to the touch and tantalizes the taste buds!Worth the detour from Hana road just to get the bread. We ate two full loaves in minutes (just 2 of us) and got two more for the road. That good!
Definitely a highlight on the road to Hana! The banana bread is delicious!
Best banana bread EVER! The bread was warm when we got it and gone before we knew it! Wish we had gotten one for each of us so we didn't have to share!! This is a MUST stop on the road to Hana.
DELICIOUS bread. We came on a very rainy day and it was a great spot to sit and enjoy a little snack and watch a storm come in across the point. The staff was very kind and helpful as well.
Arrived early just before they opened. Enjoyed their freshly baked banana bread for early breakfast on the way to Hana. Definitely a good break between the drive. Don’t forget to stop by the shore to see some nice views
Very local, very remote, rustic and a good placetostop o. The way to HanaThe whole village is wonderful to spend some time and soak in the beauty of a wild ocean and untouched jungle.
This is a must stop if you are on Maui!!!! Nothing fancy, best banana bread on the planet!!!! The area it's in is out of a magazine!!! Ocean is as clear and pure as it gets.....we bought 5 loaves @ $5 each. .. only 3 made it back to the Westin kanapali...... The waterfalls in the area are worth the drive..
Wonderful stand when you're on your road to Hana. Definitely a must stop. Probably the best banana bread I ever tasted and priced is right.
So glad I found this place yesterday during the drive to Hana! I hadn’t heard about it and just picked this place randomly over the other stands I’d passed along the way. There was a bit of a wait (because it’s so good), but you have great scenery to look at while in line!
Fun stop. Make sure to continue down to the ballfield to see some really crazy waves crashing against the rocks
$6.25 for a hot fresh loaf right in the morning. Absolutely delicious and worth the price and drive around the nice area. A must do on the road to Hana.
Best banana bread per locals. Biggest mistake was not taking pictures before we ate them purchased 5 loaves and waited 20 mins because they still needed to cool down. Personally they are not too sweet which is good. It's a must try.Plus there's a small beach to enjoy the view and feel the trade winds.
Heard a lot about the bread. Yes, it was very fresh and warm but unfortunately I found it too sweet. The place was nice and cozy and had a warm feeling to it. You can sit there and enjoy the bread.
Aunty Sandy makes the best banana bread that even banana bread aficionados would approve of. Perfect crust, ultra moist and deliciously fragrant without being overly sweet. Well worth the drive for.
Best I've ever had. It's worth the trip every time. I've also had the Coconut Crisp (? I think that's what it was called) and that was delicious as well. I do recommend going early in the day tho as they run out of banana bread by the 2:30pm.
Aloha! Just slightly off the beaten path, but well worth it! Warm wonderful traditional banana bread. Had to stop here on our way back from Hana, because we so loved the loaf on our way out to Hana. Drinks are cold. Shave ice is really good as well. Clean public restrooms are just down from the shop along with an epic wave attack on the lava rock! Order more than you think, or you’ll be back... like us!
There are not alot of places to eat on the road to Hana but the short detour to Aunt Sandy's on the Ke'anae peninsula is worth it. Loaves are small and $6 each but plenty for two people. They are fresh and warm and perfect. Even though I'm watching my carbs I made an exception for this.
Tasty banana bread and smoothies. A great place to stop on the way to Hana. Drive a little bit farther and check out the tidal pools. Plenty of parking is available.
Great smoothie. Hats. Banana bread. Coconut chew. No lids for the smoothies but that's ok. It was strawberry pineapple banana. Would get again. Lovely area. Super nice.
The best banana bread in Maui. $6!
Oh my gosh! Do yourself a favor and stop here. The bread is so delicious. The bread is still hot out of the oven when you buy it. Each slice just melts in your mouth and has a rich, delicious banana flavor. I highly recommend it. They serve other items here, but I only tried the bread. As a heads up, they take credit cards with a $10 minimum.
One of the best banana breads we've ever had. Very buttery, and the scenery is gorgeous.Great stop on the road to Hana, don't miss the cut off!
The banana bread alone is worth the drive. Always fresh, hot and delicious. Super friendly staff are all locals. This is something you must do if you are making the drive to Hana. The best tip I can give you is... Don't buy just one!! Do not miss this stop. Great views of the ocean right up the road also.
Da best banana bread! You get a whole mini loaf for like 6.75 and it's warm. Get a second loaf, even if you don't think you'll want it, because you will want it! The smoothie was really good too! Totally worth the trip!
A pit stop with a view & food on the road to Hana!
A must stop on the way to Hana! Take the exit for Keane.
The banana bread is so amazing!
We stopped here for banana bread as it says it's the best and won year after year. You had to wait (20-25 minutes)for them to make it, so its fresh but to me it was not all that great, certainly not worth the wait. We threw most of ours out unfortunately. It tasted like flour not so much bananas
Beautiful cove with lava rock and clear water to look at while you enjoy a delicious refreshing ice cream, smoothie or snack.
Roadside stop for banana bread? Seemed a little quirky but are we ever glad we stopped! So yummy! Banana bread was excellent, coconut crisps & macaroons delicious! HIGHLY recommend Aunty Sandy’s!
So delicious!!! If you are driving road to Hana you have to stop here! We got there right around 9 when they opened and the banana bread was still warm. The crust was crispy but the inside was moist and soft and delicious. I would drive all the way out there just for more of this banana bread. This is a must stop!!! :)
Aunty Sandy’s banana bread is the GOAT. And if you aren’t familiar with what that means, it just means THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME. We did the “Road to Hana” road trip yesterday, and had both AS’BB, and Halfway to Hana BB, and no offense to H2H-BB, but AS’BB was just plain better. It was so good. It was so warm, and the banana just kicks you straight in the face. On a scale of 0-100, I gave it a 93 which is PRETTY high because I have a refined palate. Take a few extra minutes and head to the peninsula and grab a few loaves (we are from Texas and bought 3, and honestly should have bought 3 more). You’ll be glad you did. - D & J
